Job Summary
Responsible for leading a team of advertising account executives who work with medium sized businesses and advertising agencies to develop data-driven, audience-targeted advertising solutions that help businesses reach customers in their retail trading areas. Coaches and develops sales team, leads regular sales team meetings and manages team progress towards fiscal and business objectives within a fast-paced B2B media sales environment.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Directly manages team of advertising account executives located in Oak Brook, IL.
- Oversees the hiring, training, coaching and evaluating of a motivated staff to carry out advertising sales functions.
- Develops relationships with key clients and advertising agencies in the marketplace alongside sales team members.
- Coaches advertising account executives to develop media campaigns that meet client needs and budget requirements.
- Creates a positive, winning sales culture where media industry expertise and sales skills are continually growing and developing.
- Works collaboratively with sellers and partner teams developing business pitches and sales presentations that support the product value proposition.
- Acts as change agent, embracing new products, processes and ways of selling to drive team towards revenue goals.
- Provides regular sales forecasting and business reviews.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
