As a Market Sales Manager, Walmart & Sam’s Club at Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation, you will use your strategic thinking skills to represent our brand to some of the world’s most respected and recognized retail operations and be an important member of a cross-functional commercial team. This position is responsible for working across multiple functions to develop sales strategies, ensure flawless execution and monitor performance of assortment, merchandising, pricing, shelving, and promotional initiatives. This position will be located in the greater Chicago area.
A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Builds strong business relationships with key CPG retail partners, to identify opportunities and sell in relevant solutions that will be mutually beneficial, leveraging the full KKDC product portfolio
- Proactively sell/upsell new distribution and feature/ displays to senior decision makers within national accounts
- Proactively tracking and analyzing business and brand results on a national, regional and customer basis
- Leveraging the Category Management & Shopper Insights Team to identify and analyze pricing, distribution and other category/brand opportunities at the Region and Market level
- Evaluating the performance of multiple product launches, corporate promotions and other initiatives – effectively communicating the results to both internal and external stakeholders
- Working with Deman Planning to ensure the right product is available at the right time, in the right format for the right channel
- Ensuring best practices are continually developed for optimal execution and effectively implemented at the Customer level
- Manage for profitability against key expense metrics such as travel and unsaleable goals
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience translating corporate objectives into meaningful and effective programs
- Experience within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry managing multiple key customers.
- Key account management experience preferred – Headquarter retailer, distributor, broker.
- Proven experience calling on buyers and/or category managers at the headquarter level.
- Experience managing internal and external stakeholders across various levels and functions
- Client focused, with a strong capacity to build credibility and trust.
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written
- Support industry trade and distributor shows as necessary.
- Working knowledge of MS Office to include PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to travel 60-70%
