Job Description

This is a remote position whereas to qualify one must currently live in one of the following states: KY, IN, MI, WV, PA, DE, MA, NJ, NY, RI, VT, CT, or ME.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct regional business activities to meet regional bookings and sales goals, in the company’s Filter Sales and Service Distributors and our HVAC Wholesale channels
  • Manage sales performance and sales goals, while monitoring sales activities, follow-up and closing success/loss
  • Provide technical support to distributors, contractors, specifying engineers and end customers, including training on features, benefits, and applications of our products and internal systems
  • Attend trade shows, conferences and sales meetings to grow sales, generate leads, and identify opportunities
  • Travels throughout entire Northeast region to call on existing and new customers to understand needs and solicit orders
  • Strong communication skills must be demonstrated. Both written, verbal negotiation and closing skills are important to the success of this position
  • identify customer needs and prepares a proposal and presentation of services that will partner with the customer to meet their needs

Requirements

Education:

  • Minimum of a High School diploma, or equivalent (such as a GED) is required

Experience:

  • 3+ years’ minimum channel sales experience selling HVAC products to wholesalers or distributors

Required Skills:

  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Written and verbal negotiation and closing skills
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Self-starter, and the ability to work effectively and efficiently on your own in the field, and in representing MANN+HUMMEL with customers
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50% domestically, including overnight travel

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Sales experience for a manufacturer
