Job Summary

As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Sales Director will have oversight of the sales, marketing, and customer service departments. We are looking for an experienced Sales Director to develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth and market expansion. This individual will be responsible for leading a high-performing sales team, establishing key relationships, and exceeding revenue targets. The Sales Director is a significant contributor to all Thomco Marketing activities; and has senior management responsibilities for the business overall.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and customer service teams to exceed performance targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities and build strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to optimize performance and drive business decisions.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Establish and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and reporting metrics.
  • Provide learning and development opportunities for the sales and customer service teams to ensure their continued growth.
  • Will manage the remote branch sales operations.
  • Will represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 year’s experience of sales leadership experience in Industrial Sales and Customer Service with experience in industrial tapes, adhesives, custom die-cutting; custom printed labels and/or custom die-cutting or similar industry highly desired.
  • Must have at least 5 years of results driven sales leadership experience and successfully led a high performing sales team. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Branch operations experience is preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Leadership and Relationship skills.
  • Candidate must be able to learn and demonstrate strong skills as follows: product knowledge, industry, and market knowledge, converting process knowledge, and application knowledge.
  • Must have strong basic math skills, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability to bring innovative and effective solutions to our customers.
  • Must be driven to serve customers and ensuring an excellent customer experience.
  • Working knowledge of CRM, ERP, and other sales computer programs.
  • Must be able to multitask and have excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability is highly desired.
  • Position requires the ability to recognize, continuously recruit, hire, train, and deploy and sales resources (& other department positions).
