We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to join our Glass Fiber Tissue US Sales Team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing sales with existing customers while also developing new business opportunities across the region. This position is based at our Ahlstrom Madisonville Plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive high team performance.
- Effectively communicate customer requirements within the organization.
- Meet sales targets related to both volume and profitability.
- Manage and expand relationships with existing customers.
- Identify and secure new sales opportunities and customers.
- Ensure accurate data entry and availability in required tools (e.g., CRM and ERP systems).
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Monitor and manage customer payment behaviors.
- Understand product and service features, and translate them into compelling value propositions and pricing.
- Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with other business units and functions within Ahlstrom as needed.
Required Experience & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 5-7 years of experience in sales, preferably within the relevant industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong understanding of target markets and customer needs.
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
- Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end value chain.
- Ability to lead the sales process effectively.
- Skill in presenting solutions tailored to customer needs.
- In-depth product and service knowledge.
- Experience in driving sales activities and closing deals.
- Strong sales negotiation skills.
This role requires the ability to travel extensively.
The Sales Manager will report to the Head of Sales, GFT Americas.
