POSITION TITLE: Senior Outside Sales Specialist

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct new customer prospecting.
  • Establish and cultivate effective business partnerships with customer decision makers and support staff.
  • Develop a sales strategy with your portfolio of customers to achieve organizational sales goals, including: assortment planning, new item introductions, promotions, and sales events targeted primarily on cordless tools, new generation of current best sellers and other products in our portfolio.
  • Develop a regular routine of customer communication, interaction and follow-up.
  • Actively participate in sales presentations and brand building opportunities within your customer organizations.
  • Conduct market research to understand and react to market trends.
  • Attend Trade Meetings, Industry Conventions to drive brands and develop customer relationships.
  • Analyze sales performance data and develop action plans to address sales opportunities.
  • Receive inbound customer calls to assist with product inquiries, sales orders and problem resolution.
  • Perform other duties that may be required from time to time.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Excellent, persuasive, verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with executive level personnel within you customer portfolio.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially proficient in MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work activities to achieve desired goals.
  • Ability to work under pressure, changing priorities and demands.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Quick to learn in ambiguous circumstances.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%-40% of the time.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years of experience selling to the hardware/tool retail customer with Pnuematic Tools, Water Pumps or Compressors.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-3 years of experience selling to the hardware/tool retail customer.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study.
